1. I think the teenagers mentioned these things because they are connected with important people, special events and happy memories. These objects also show their interests and personalities.
2. The special things in my room are my family photos, some souvenirs from my travels and my collection of books. They are important to me because they remind me of people and places I love.
3. Yes, I would keep these things if I decided to redecorate my room. I would put them in a special place so that they still made my room comfortable and personal.
4. I need a comfortable bed, good lighting, a desk for doing my homework and some free space. I also like having my favourite books, music and plants in my room.
