The foreigners have a mostly positive image of Russia, but some associations are negative.

The foreigners associate Russia with a huge country with beautiful landscapes, interesting customs and traditions, beautiful music and songs like Kalinka, friendly people, Red Square with beautiful cathedrals, a lot of ethnic groups, and wonderful sights of Moscow and St Petersburg.

I agree because Russia is really a very big country with a rich culture and many beautiful places.

But I don’t agree that Russia is only about traffic jams, very cold weather, or a lot of violence and crime.

The fact is, Russia is different in different regions, and it has both advantages and problems like any other country.
