I think the Paralympic Games are necessary. They give disabled athletes an opportunity to show their abilities and compete fairly. Sport develops strength, courage and self-confidence. Sport helps people stay healthy and active. It teaches discipline, willpower and respect for others.

Disabled athletes should participate in the Paralympic Games because they deserve the same chances as other sportsmen. The Games also inspire many people and show that physical disabilities do not mean the end of a sporting career.
