One day there was a poor woman who had a small house, a very small garden and a daughter. They ate what they could grow in the garden, and when summer came, they went to the forest to pick wild berries.
One summer morning the girl was picking berries in the forest. Soon she found a place with lots of berries, and her basket became full. It was time for lunch. The girl was sitting in a tree and was preparing to eat her lunch.
“I have taken some bread from home,” she thought. “But I have not brought any water. I will go and look for a river or a lake.”

The girl went to the valley to find some water. When she got there, she saw a beautiful house with many windows. She entered the house and saw a big table with some water, seeds and plants on it. The girl took the seeds and plants home and grew them together with her mother in their small garden. After that, they lived happily together and always had enough food to eat.
