Marie Curie was born in Warsaw, Poland, in 1867. Later, she went to Paris to study at the Sorbonne, where she met Pierre Curie and married him. Together they discovered polonium and radium. In 1903, Marie Curie won the Nobel Prize in Physics with Pierre Curie and Henri Becquerel. After Pierre’s death, she continued her scientific work. In 1911, she won a second Nobel Prize, this time in Chemistry. Marie Curie died in 1934.
