The Amur tiger

The Amur tiger is one of the most beautiful and rare animals in my country. It lives in the forests of the Russian Far East.

The Amur tiger is very big and strong. It has thick orange fur with black stripes and a white belly. Its fur is longer and thicker than the fur of other tigers because it lives in a cold climate.

It eats deer, wild boar and other animals. The Amur tiger is special because it is the largest tiger in the world and it is an endangered species.

Today, there are only a few hundred Amur tigers left in the wild. People protect them in nature reserves and national parks.
