Find the opposites of the words below and write a similar poem about arguing.
Possible opposites:
- happy — sad
- kind — cruel
- calm — angry
- friendly — unfriendly
- polite — rude
Sample poem:
When we are happy, we smile and play,
But when we argue, the joy goes away.
Kind words help us to stay calm and true,
Cruel words hurt me, and they hurt you.
Friendly voices make the day feel bright,
Angry shouting is never right.
Polite words can make our problems small,
So let’s be kind and not argue at all.
