B: Why black? I mean it suits you but why not try something in a brighter colour?
A: I don’t think it would look formal enough.
B: I see. We’d better hurry though because the shops will be closing in an hour. You kind of left your shopping till the last minute.
A: I know but I have a particular shop in mind. The things they have usually with me. So I but most of my clothes there. It won’t take us long to choose something.
B: Where is it then?

B: But it’s closed!
A: Oh no! Wait a minute. There’s a notice here on the door. Oh, it says that it’s moved to the second floor.
B: Thank goodness! Let’s go.

B: Ann, look at this one here. It’s linen. It’s very good quality.
A: Yes, it’s very nice. It’s so elegant too. Oh, it’s a bit expensive for me though. What else have we got?
B: Well, what about this?
A: Oh, no! I don’t like polka-dots. I prefer something plain. Oh, wait. This is nice. It’s quite modern-looking, isn’t it? Steve, what do you think?
B: Oh, no. I think it looks ridiculous. Look at these leaves. Why do they look like that?
A: It’s a very trendy style at the moment.
B: Hm, I don’t know. Ann, look at this red silk top. It’s not black, but it’s really nice and formal.
A: I like silk. It’s lovely and cool in the summer time. But red. Oh, I’m not sure, Steve.
B: Come on, just try it on. You might like it!
A: Oh, OK then. Have they got it in a medium?
B: Yes, here you are. Go, try it on.
