Dear friend,

Thank you for your letter. My parents are usually quite strict, but they always explain their decisions. They do not allow me to come home very late, use my phone at the table or spend too much time on computer games. They think these things are bad for my health and studies.

When my parents do not allow me to do something, I usually feel disappointed or annoyed at first. However, I try to understand their point of view and calm down. Then I talk to them politely and ask them to explain their reasons. Most of the time we find a compromise.
