I know newspapers, magazines, radio, television and the Internet. I think the Internet is the most important because it gives us news very quickly and lets us find almost any information we need.
Nowadays radio is still useful, especially for news, weather reports and traffic information. Many people listen to it in cars, at work or while doing housework. Radio is more convenient than television and the Internet when people need quick information and cannot watch a screen.
Television is both a source of information and entertainment, but today it is more often used for entertainment. I do not think the 21st century is only an era of television, because the Internet has become even more popular. Teenagers usually like music shows, films, series and reality shows, while grown-ups often watch news, talk shows and documentaries. Their preferences depend on age and interests. In my family we mainly watch news, films and sports programmes. Watching television non-stop can be harmful because it wastes time and may damage health.
The Internet plays a very important role in our society. Modern people are really dependent on it because they use it for study, work, communication, shopping and entertainment. Different people use the Internet in different ways: some search for information, some chat with friends, and others watch videos or play games. It is a very fast and convenient source of information, but you cannot absolutely rely on everything on the Net, because some facts may be false or unverified.
