The British newspaper “Daily Mail” asks its readers questions about books. Read the questions, the answers of Marina Warner, a reader, and give your own answers.
- What book are you reading now?
- What book would you like to take to a desert island?
- What books gave you the reading bug?
- What book left you cold?
I am reading now: “The Lord of the Rings” by J. R. R. Tolkien. It is an exciting fantasy novel about a dangerous journey and the struggle between good and evil. The story is full of adventure and unforgettable characters.
I would like to take to a desert island: “Robinson Crusoe” by Daniel Defoe. It is a classic adventure book, and it would be especially interesting to read on a desert island because it is about survival, courage, and independence.
Gave me the reading bug: J. K. Rowling’s “Harry Potter” books. I used to read them for hours and could not put them down. They made me love reading and want to discover more books.
Left me cold: Some school textbooks when I was younger. They seemed boring to me at first, but now I understand that they can also be useful and interesting in their own way.
