I think Charles Lamb’s quotation means that reading and talking to other people help us understand the world better. When we listen to other people’s ideas, we can learn something new and see things from a different point of view. It is interesting to “lose ourselves” in other people’s minds because it makes us wiser and more open-minded. In my opinion, this is one of the best ways to develop our personality and broaden our horizons.
