Read again and for questions 1–8, choose from the people A–D. Then give each text an alternative heading.
- Who found the activity more difficult than expected?
- Who was very nervous about trying the activity?
- Who was scared while doing the activity for the first time?
- Who tried an activity he/she had read about?
- Who tried an activity that made a problem disappear?
- Who did the activity with a friend?
- Who decided to try the activity based on professional advice?
- Who was surprised and amused by how something felt?
Match the words/phrases in bold with their meanings: extremely funny, eat by biting small pieces, with no real meaning, pushing quickly in, hanging, moved in a large group, not easy.
Complete with: swarm, plunged, suspended, boost, breath, swinging, nibbling, picked up.
Use the words in bold to complete the sentences so they have a similar meaning to the first sentence. Use two to five words.
What does each health craze in the text involve? Tell your partner.
Think! Which of the experiences in the text would you most/least like to try? Why? Write a few sentences about this in your notebook, then read them to your partner or the class.
