At first, travelling was very dangerous and exhausting. People had to travel across the desert or sail across the ocean, and it took ages to get to another place. They often suffered from unknown diseases, hunger, thirst, and wild animals.

Then travelling by sea, by train and by car appeared. It became much easier and safer. People could enjoy nice food while travelling and get to different places faster.

Today travelling by air makes it possible to get to the opposite side of the planet in hours. Modern means of travelling are comfortable, quick and safe.
