Dialogue

Mother: Dear, I have to tell you that our family reunion party will be this Saturday at your grandmother’s house at 5 p.m.

Son/Daughter: Oh, Mum/Dad, I’m sorry, but I’ve already planned my Saturday evening. I was going to meet my friends.

Mother: I’m afraid there can be no excuse for missing it. Family reunion parties are very important. It’s a chance to see all our relatives, talk to them and keep in touch with the family.
