Chris: We have another conflict. Tom and I can’t share the TV again.

Mother: Let’s follow the five steps to resolve the conflict.

Father: First, let’s define the problem. What is the matter?

Chris: We both want to watch different programmes at the same time.

Tom: Yes, and we can’t agree on what to watch.

Mother: Now let’s think of possible solutions.

Father: We can watch one programme first and then the other.

Chris: Or we can use the TV at different times.

Tom: We can also watch one programme together if we both like it.

Mother: Which solution is the best?

Chris: I think we should take turns.

Tom: I agree. That’s fair.

Father: Good. Let’s make a decision and follow it.

Mother: Then the conflict is resolved.
