Here is an essay on the topic “What is more important for a person: to be rich or to be happy?”

I think that happiness is more important than wealth. Money can make life easier, but it cannot buy real happiness. A rich person may have a big house, expensive clothes and a lot of things, but still feel lonely or unhappy.

First, happiness means good relationships with family and friends. If people love and support you, you feel safe and confident. Second, a happy person usually has a positive attitude to life and can enjoy simple things. Third, money can disappear, but inner happiness stays with you much longer.

Of course, money is necessary for a comfortable life. We need it to buy food, clothes and pay for education and medicine. However, wealth is only a tool. It should help people live better, not become the main goal in life.

To sum up, I believe that being happy is more important than being rich. A person can live a full and meaningful life without a lot of money, but it is very hard to be truly happy without love, friendship and peace of mind.
