1. The mother is unhappy because she has to do a lot of housework. She has to cook, wash up, clean the rooms and do the shopping. She wants her children to help her around the house. They think she is not fair because she asks them to help, but does not let them do things in their own way.

2. The mother bought a new dress because she needed it for a special occasion. Her daughter does not like the dress because she thinks it is old-fashioned. The mother thinks her daughter’s clothes are too short and too bright. In her opinion, the ridiculous thing is the way her daughter dresses.

3. The father put off buying a mobile phone. He didn’t buy it for his son because it was too expensive. The boy’s brother was ill. He needed rest and care to get over his illness. The father said that the boy could do without a mobile phone for some time.
