The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is an island country in Western Europe. Its capital is London. Other major cities are Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow and Liverpool.

The highest mountain in the UK is Ben Nevis. The longest river is the Severn, and the largest lake is Lough Neagh.

The UK is famous for its rich history, traditions and beautiful old cities.
