One holiday started by the Pilgrims is Thanksgiving Day, because it is connected with the first harvest feast and the early settlers in America.

Thanksgiving Day is celebrated on the fourth Thursday in November. It is a day when people give thanks for the harvest and for all the good things in their lives. The holiday began in the 17th century, when the Pilgrims and Native Americans shared a meal after the first successful harvest. On this day, families usually get together, have a big dinner and watch parades or football games. The traditional food is turkey, pumpkin pie and cranberry sauce.
