Present Continuous for future
о We use the present continuous for definite plans and arrangements in the future.
о We form the present continuous with subject + be + verb + -ing.

They aren’t taking the exam in June.
о In questions, the order is be + subject + verb + -ing. We don’t repeat the verb + -ing in short answers.
Is your friend doing the course next summer?
Yes, he is./No, he isn’t.
Gerunds and infinitives
о Some verbs are followed by a gerund (verb + -ing).
I like swimming.
о Some verbs are followed by an infinitive form. I need to sleep.
