Last week I (1) promised my mum that I would clean my room. Of course, I forgot. My mum (2) refused to give me my pocket money. I (3) offered to clean it the next day, and I also (4) agreed to clean the kitchen too. She (5) warned me that if I didn’t do both things she would be very annoyed with me. As I was about to start cleaning, Jack phoned and (6) invited me to his house to play with his new computer game.
I (7) explained that I had to clean my bedroom and the kitchen and he (8) offered to come over and help. What a great friend! While he’s cleaning the kitchen I’ll be able to watch TV.
