Jobs are not only a good way to earn money but it is also a great way to learn and develop qualities that can help you to get on in life. Jobs introduce teenagers into the real world. Jobs teach teenagers responsibility along with respect. Jobs give teenagers confidence. My job (I work in a shop) has improved my communication skills. It has taught me how to speak to people professionally. Kate I think we don’t have to decide which is better, if a teenager should work or should not work. Every person has a different situation. If my parents don’t have a lot of money to pay for my education, I will work. When my friend wanted to be independent, he started to work. On the other hand, I disagree with working too much while studying, because it may leave little time for homework and rest. However, if a teenager can combine work and school successfully, a part-time job can be a good idea.
My opinion: I think working while studying can be useful if a teenager has enough time for schoolwork. A part-time job helps to gain experience, become responsible and earn money, but studies should always come first.
