— I’m Jane. I use a lucky pen. I believe it really helps and gives me confidence.

— My name is Katie. When I do my test, I have a little purple amethyst stone which I hold in my hand. I think it works because I’ve always got the highest mark in every test that I’ve ever done!

— It’s me, Amy. I wear my lucky watch and blouse in exams. So far I’ve been really lucky with the results, so maybe they work.

— My name is Reggie. I have a little red rabbit my mother made when I was younger. I bring him out of habit really, and I just try my best. What happens in the exam only you can change. Good luck everyone in the SATs!

— I’m Jess. This is stupid, but during the exam I keep a small picture of my favourite footballer — Cristiano Ronaldo — in my hand. I know that won’t bring me any luck but this picture just gives me confidence.

— I’m Harriet. I have a lucky mascot. It’s a coin. I found it in Spain when I was there with my parents. I use it every year during my exams. When I don’t know the answer, I squeeze it and I suddenly know the answer!

— My name is Ashley. I have a lucky pencil. It’s red, blue and green. I used it while doing my Maths test and my English one. And I’ve passed them both while using it.

— I’m Lily. A lot of people I know have lucky pens or teddies, but I don’t have anything. I prefer to think that I make my own luck.

— My name is Ruth. I have a lucky teddy bear which I keep in my bag. So if I get stressed, I can look at it and feel just better.

— I’m Lee. I have a lucky pair of red socks I wear to every exam and use a lucky pen. I don’t know what I’ll do when it runs out!
