Arguments for studying American English:

• America is the leading country in the world.
• It is a passport to jobs and money as well as pop culture.
• American English is a more lively and flexible language, open to change.

My point of view: I share the opinion of the second teacher. I think American English is more useful today because it is widely used in business, travel and popular culture. It is also modern and flexible, so many students prefer it.
