Task 1

I have been learning English for seven years. I started when I was in the second form.

I can speak about everyday topics, read texts and understand the main idea, and write short messages and letters quite well. I also know a lot of words and grammar rules.

To improve my English, I read English books, watch films and videos in English, listen to songs, learn new words every day and do grammar exercises. I also try to speak English more often.

Task 2

Student: What foreign languages do you study at school?

Friend: I study English and German.

Student: I think your choice is very useful. English is an international language, and German can also be helpful for your future studies and work.

Student: How do you learn Russian effectively?

Advice: You should read Russian books, listen to Russian speech, learn new words regularly and try to speak Russian as much as possible. It is also useful to write short texts and revise grammar.

Friend: Why have you decided to study English?

Student: I have decided to study English because it is important for communication, travel, education and my future career. I also enjoy learning it.
