Dear Jack,
Thanks for your letter! You know, school starts at 8:30 a.m. and finishes at about 3 p.m. Sometimes there are extra activities, such as sports or drama classes, and I finish at 5 p.m. At our school, all students wear a uniform: black trousers and a white shirt.
Every day I have a lot of homework in different subjects. I usually spend two hours doing my homework, but sometimes it takes a little longer. At the end of the year, I will take two exams: Russian and Maths.
I’d like to know more about your hobbies. Do you watch films with your friends? Are there any libraries in Sydney where you can borrow books? How long did it take you to learn to surf?
Write back soon!
Your friend,
Alex
