One cold winter evening, I was walking home from school when I noticed a small dog sitting near the park gate. It was shivering and looked very frightened. I stopped and slowly came closer, hoping it would not run away.

At first, the dog backed off, but then it saw the sandwich in my bag and wagged its tail. I gave it some food and water from a nearby café. After that, it followed me to the park bench, where I called my mum and asked her what to do.

While we were waiting, an old man came up to us and said the dog was his. He had been looking for it all afternoon. He was extremely relieved, and the dog jumped happily into his arms.

I felt really proud because I had helped bring them together. It was a simple act, but it made everyone happy.
