Helen Keller was an American author, lecturer and political activist. She became deaf and blind after an illness when she was a baby. With the help of her teacher Anne Sullivan, she learned to communicate, read and write. Later, she graduated from college and worked to help other people with disabilities. Her life was “an inspiration” because she overcame great difficulties and achieved a lot despite her disabilities.
