Halloween is a popular celebration which takes place on 31st October in many countries, especially in the USA and the UK. It is celebrated to remember old traditions and to have fun before the beginning of winter.

Before the day, people make many preparations. They decorate their houses with pumpkins, candles, spiders and ghosts. Children and adults choose costumes, and some people prepare special food and sweets. Schools and families often rehearse songs, games or performances for the celebration.

On the actual day, people wear scary or funny costumes and go to parties. Children go from house to house saying “Trick or treat!” and collect sweets. There are also games, music, dancing and pumpkin carving. Everyone enjoys the festive atmosphere.

During and after Halloween, people feel excited and happy. It is a fun celebration that brings families and friends together. In my opinion, Halloween is one of the most interesting holidays of the year.
